Thank you

I had no idea I could write anything! But you changed that! I actually enjoy writing now 🙂

Today, I want to thank you (I’ve tagged some of you) for making the change in me as we celebrate the first anniversary of our collection of travel stories Story At Every Corner.

But first, starting where it all began, when Nirmal and I met 25 years ago. Nirmal organized incredible trips for us all the time (and the passion has only grown). So, I started writing some memories in notepads, scrapbooks, photobooks, iBooks Author, etc. just so we won’t forget the wonderful stories.

On one such trip, I wrote memories on Facebook, so our parents and siblings could be involved (hoping I would answer a few of Papa’s questions). But, to my surprise, you all started sending wonderful vibes with likes and comments! For years thereafter, every time we wrote, you sent us encouraging feedback, which was truly heartwarming!

Over time, as we needed to look back at a trip, it took a lot of scrolling to find the posts on Facebook. We needed a better way to host the content, so, I tried many blogging sites and quick builders but none offered the flexibility and simplicity we needed.

Finally, in February 2017, we took the plunge and figured out how to host, design and create our own website. Thus, Story At Every Corner was born. A year has passed since and we’ve added 50 stories and even more photo galleries!

A few weeks ago, we started a Facebook page and nearly 200 of you have joined it!! Once again thank you so much for the encouragement!

We would be delighted to give back to our community; here are some ideas –

• if you want to have your own website, we’ll be thrilled to help share our struggles and solutions.
• if you’re planning a trip to some place we’ve been, just ask. We’ll share our experiences so they may help you plan yours.
• if you’d like to contribute to StoryAtEveryCorner.com, i.e. post your journey for everyone to read without the hassle of maintaining a site, let’s talk 🙂
